Anyway my web designer warned me I might want blogging software on my site but I didn't see a need and anyway I wanted a small local hosting guy. But now as you see I'm starting to blog..........going to try to continue to blog too. Not sure if you guys are going to be interested or not but *shrug* it feels right so I'm doing it. Gonna put a lonk on the site to lead to this Journal too.....that'll work. *grin*

Finally, FINALLY was able to complete the first scene of the next story "Walking the Path". I got a false start on it not long after I posted "Stepping" had to think a while, turn it around in my head, couldn't seem to get a grip on what angle I wanted to take on it. Then one night I was thinking over it before sleeping (which I ALWAYS do.....well something connected with the Middle Path storylines) and suddenly a 'Merry Wanderer of the Night" showed up in my head. Yes, my friends the Puck himself is becoming what I assume to be a strong secondary characture in "Walking".......I don't know whether to laugh my self silly or get REAL scared LOL.

Then I came down with the flu and everything stopped until just last night when I shouted "cover me" and went back in LOL!

Anyway finishing the first scene last night told me that writing with the Puck involved is very probabably going to be like walking a tight rope, blindfolded, and juggling chainsaws but when I get it down and it's RIGHT.......MAN what a rush!

Well hope to make another entry soon.....here's hoping anyway.

Sorry this isn't fic........but it's about fic which I hope is good enough.

Well, let's see. since I posted "Stepping on the Path" things have gone rather well for the Middle Path universe. Got the website up........for those of you who didn't know; there is a website for this little AU that is going to be updated as often as my 'team' can do it. And Yeppers I said my team.....I've actually got some just OUTSTANDING people working with me, three illustrators, a wonderful Graphic Designer who loves working for me because he gets to indulge in his passion for knotwork and all other things Celtic, great hosting guy who is local and handles problems with the site in a snap, and a MOST forgiving Web designer who doesn't mind when I get the latest 'great idea!' LOL Not to mention my darling husband and co collaborator who helps me make sure everything fits together. They are really good, good people and although not a lot of thier work is up on the site yet it's still not bad.

Here is a url if you want to check it out...www.themiddle-path,com.....and there is a LOT more there then just story. *GRIN* I keep saying like any other Universe The Middle Path is expanding and hopefully will contiunue to expand cause I love working on EVERY aspect of it!

The twenty previous entries on this journal are the parts of "Stepping on the Path", the first of a set of stories set (mostly) in the SG-1 universe, with some crossover with Highlander, and some original characters.
The pairing is Jack/Daniel/female character, the action starts in Season 6 in the middle of "Abyss", it is definitely NC-17. It also alters some elements of both canon and fanon.

A note from Debra Terry's archivist:
I originally posted all twenty parts in full, and then edited them to include cuts for convenience. I apologize to anyone who was messed up by the sudden influx of posts. I'll try to do better on future stories.

Jack and Daniel sat around the fire that Ari had lit talking while they waited for……whatever to descend upon them. “Wonder who’s calling you?” Jack asked Daniel.

It seemed to Jack as if the euphoria of their, he didn’t quite know what to call it, ‘merging’ didn’t last very long for Ariana. Scene 19 )

They stayed wrapped around each other, almost huddling with each other for a while as they calmed down. Scene 18 )

Ariana didn’t keep them waiting long and they were back on horseback before Jack even could get his mind straight. Scene 16 )

Jack couldn’t really tell how long they sat here, if it really in the end even mattered, but by the time the first cups of coffee were gone Ari was definitely ready to face the future. Scene 15 )

It took them an hour to lift themselves out of bed and then they would have spent another hour in the shower, playing and loving but Daniel looked around and sniffed, “ Coffee.” He said absently and got out of the shower to start drying off immediately.
